Essential Oils
Our oils are made from various types of herbs (from the leafy green part of a low-growing plant) and spice (from the root, stem, seed, fruit, flower, or bark of the plant).
The oils are natural compounds extracted from specially selected plants. The oils capture the plant's scent and flavour, or "essence”. The unique aromatic compounds give each oil its characteristic essence and have healing properties. The oils are obtained through distillation (using steam or water) or mechanical methods, such as cold pressing. Essential oil, the carefully filtered product of this distillation and pressing, is a highly concentrated extract of the respective plant.

Hydrosols
Esker Naturals offers different types of floral water. Floral water is the condensate water of different plants which remains after the extraction of an essential oil by distillation. When essential oils are produced by either water or steam distillation, some of the aromas and oils are left in the water after the essential oils are separated out. They are a by-product of essential oils production - all water-soluble substances from plants remain in them. The smell of hydrosols is very light and pleasant. They have the same aroma as essential oils, in a much softer form but with the same properties.
